I had much higher expectations for this grill. I do like the features and added accessories that come with it but overall i would rather have had a higher build quality with less, "Bells and Whistles". For the size and features of this grill the prices point is ok but as a well experience cook I would recommend buying a smaller 4 burner grill of higher grade steel, like the Weber Genesis and forgo the added accessories. As much i want to like this grill, i can already tell by the thin metal and cheap build quality that it will not last more than a couple of years.
I've been cooking on my Monument 6-burner at least once a week for nearly a year, and it's been an absolute beast. The lights and glass window are really nice touches, not to mention the side burner and EPIC sear plate. Plenty of room for a main and side, and the heat seems super even for a gas grill, not too many hot or cold spots in my experience. This is the ultimate gas grill that has all the fundamentals and plenty of nice bonuses.
Great quality with a some great functional features. Very sturdy and stable mostly due to the higher caliber use of stainless steel. The negative comment I have is that the grill was shipped via FedEx and arrived at my home in a timely manner however, there was 3 parts that were damaged during transport. I simply e-mailed Monument Grills at there customer service center with the my concerns of the damaged parts and they shipped the new parts overnight.
Great customer service with some great quality well designed grills.
Well worth the money!
We bought Monument Grills 6-burner (8 burners including 2 side burners) Clearview Propane Gas Grill (Model 77352MB). We bought at a Black Friday price making it a bargain, especially when compared with the price of other less full-featured or highly rated grills locally available. Extras included a rotisserie (120-volt motor), a full cover, 3 bottles of barbecue sauce and rub, a smoker box and a battery-powered, gooseneck LED lamp that plugs into a USB connection to the side of the hood. Shipping was included in the price of the grill.
Before we purchased, we had a number of questions about the grill - - pricing, tools required for assembly (mostly a Phillips-head screwdriver), differences among Monument grill models, pricing, shipping and other concerns. The extraordinarily patient and knowledgeable gentleman who answered our questions at the Monument Grills help desk made certain that each and every question was answered and invited us to call back with any additional questions we might have.
The grill was shipped to us by freight. The freight company, at our request, transferred the shipping pallet from their semi truck to our pick-up because our driveway was unsuitable for turning around the semi. Once home, we broke down the excellent packaging with the pallet still in our pick-up. That made it easy to carry the various parts of the grill for assembly and left the packaging materials conveniently in the pickup for later disposal. We'd guess the palletized shipping weight to be more than 150 pounds.
Assembly went quickly and smoothly with this caveat: read the illustrated directions more than once and until any ambiguity is resolved before starting the process. Every needed part and fastener was included along with a few spares.
And how does it cook? The grill lights easily and heats quickly, especially in Montana winter temperatures. It holds temperature well but we've also used a Meater temperature probe to confirm the performance of the grill. We've found the built-in thermometer on the grill hood to be reasonably accurate when the hood is not frequently opened and closed. Both direct and indirect cooking are easily available given the six individual burners.
Thus far, we've cooked fish, game hens, steaks, vegetables and meals in foil. Each has turned out well. One side burner is a ceramic searing bed that does a great job for post-cooking searing of grilled steaks or meats cooked sou vide. It's easy to remove and clean the individual stainless steel grills with soap, water and a stiff nylon brush.
We are looking forward to many years of happy grilling, especially when we get some warmer weather.
I've probably owned every major brand of grill – and this is one of the best for the price! On year 4, the grill is outside, under cover and kept covered as we use it year-round, even during winter. We've replaced only the metal parts that go directly over the flame. Not because they were damaged - but just to get the new look after cleaning last spring. Highly recommend this grill – and BTW: should your ignitor ever stop working...change the battery!
77352MB | 6-Burner Clearview Propane Gas Grill
Very high powered grill. Love the Clearview window. Definitely love the LED lighting. I would recommend this grill to anyone. The rotisserie is just an added bonus.
