How do I compare grills from different series?

Use the model selector above each product to choose from the available series. You can compare three different models at once; selecting a model already in another column swaps their positions. Start with fuel type and cooking capacity, then compare the features you will actually use.

Should I choose by people served or hamburger capacity?

Use both as planning guides, not guaranteed serving counts. The People row helps compare gathering sizes, while the Hamburger row gives a food-capacity reference. Patty size, side dishes and cooking in batches change how much you can serve, so also compare the available cooking area.

Is total cooking area the same as the main grilling surface?

Not necessarily. Total cooking area can include primary and secondary cooking surfaces. For example, the Eminence 605 product specifications list 640 sq in of primary area and 220 sq in of secondary area, totaling 860 sq in. Check the primary-area measurement on the product page if space over the main burners is your priority.

Does the total BTU rating describe only the main burners?

No. Compare total and main-burner ratings separately. The Eminence 605 lists 89,000 total BTUs, while its six main burners account for 66,000 BTUs; its other burners contribute to the total. Use the burner breakdown on each product page when comparing the heat available for your cooking setup.

Can every propane model also use natural gas?

Do not assume that it can. Check the Fuel Type row and the exact model’s instructions. The Eminence 605 supports propane and natural gas, but its product page specifies that a natural gas conversion kit is required. Confirm model and kit compatibility before purchasing or arranging installation.

How do the sear zone and rear infrared burner differ?

They are listed separately because they serve different cooking setups. A sear zone provides a dedicated high-heat searing area; a rear infrared burner sits at the back of the grill and can support rotisserie cooking on compatible models. Check both rows and confirm whether the matching rotisserie kit is included in your selected configuration.

Does a smart touch panel mean the same features on every grill?

No. The Smart LED Touch Panel row identifies a listed panel feature, not a complete specification for connected functions. For example, the Eminence 605 and Eminence 405 both show Yes in this row. Check each model’s product page for its display, connectivity, temperature-probe support and included equipment.

How should I check whether a grill fits my outdoor space?

Start with the Assembled Size row, then verify the dimension labels on the product page or in the manual. Allow for the lid, side shelves, access and the clearances required by that model’s instructions. The grill’s assembled footprint alone does not describe all the space needed for use.

What does a dash in the comparison table mean?

A dash means a value is not listed in the current comparison data. It should not automatically be read as zero or as confirmation that a feature is unavailable. Check the model’s product page or contact support if that feature is important to your decision.

What should I confirm before purchasing a compared model?

Open the product page and confirm the exact fuel configuration, current price, included accessories and delivery information. Covers, conversion kits and accessory bundles can differ between options for the same model. Compare the contents of the selected option, not just the model name or the product photograph.
