What is a broil zone?​

(M415BZ)The MESA's main sear zone consists of three burners that are positioned closer together than the other burners on the grill. This creates an area on the grill that heats up more quickly and reaches higher temperatures than other areas, allowing for rapid heating. You can cook your steaks, ribs, and other foods to perfection in this zone.

What are the weight and dimensions of the grill?

This is our product dimension: 22.0"D x 55.0"W x 45.5"H, item weight: (Mesa418BZ)91.5 Pounds (Mesa425)92.5 Pounds.

Does the grill come with a propane hose?

The grill includes a hose to connect to 20lb Propane Tank.

Does this grill need assembly when it arrives?

The grill requires assembly upon arrival.

Can all four wheels of the NEW MESA be turned?

Yes, for ease of mobility, we have equipped the MESA series with four steerable wheels.

Can I build my Mesa in?

The Mesa grill can not be used as a built in grill for an outdoor/indoor kitchen as there dangers in reforming a freestanding grill.

Can I use natural gas to light my MESA grill?

No, Mesa only supports Liquid Propane.

"I've used the grill over the last month. Also, purchased a griddle insert plate. Good: (i) fast delivery (ii) easy to assemble - not many screws (ii) Like the viewing window - main reason for purchase (iv) easy to start and cooks well. (v) Griddle insert plate works well (versatile for small items) Not Good: (i) Flame tamers are too short and do not catch the holders on both sides to keep in place. If you touch the flame tamers, they will just slide sideways. Floor models I looked at were not like this. . . secure fit where you could actually brush them to clean while in place. Sent photos and video to customer service. . . no response. (ii) Poor customer service after purchase (ii) Prefer light inside grill vs knobs, if possible"

"Assembly was fairly easy and instructions clear to follow. The grill is beautiful and materials sturdy. I thought more of it would be stainless… but the powder the coated parts are high quality. Electric starts are fast. and the control knob lighting is aesthetically vey nice. The cooking elements are excellent. The grill temperatures are incredible and very consistently for perfect performance. The broil zone for searing and giving the grill marks works as promised and is wonderful. For the money… I don’t think you can do better."

"The Mesa 415BZ arrived packaged very well. Even though the exterior box had been damaged during shipping it did not affect the grill at all. Assembling it was easy with guidance from their video on YouTube. It only took 35 minutes to assemble due to the forethought of Monument’s screw placements from the factory. The temperature range that you can achieve while cooking on it allows for a more customized cooking experience that can adapt to a wider variety of grilling styles. Want to rotisserie a chicken? No problem. Do you want restaurant quality sear marks on your steaks? The sear zone gets more than hot enough to achieve it. The side burner delivers plenty of heat to suit frying, boiling and sautéing needs. The lid includes a window view when it is closed which is super convenient as it decreases the amount of times you typically open a lid to inspect the food. The overall quality is acceptable with regards to price/performance and if treated properly should last many years."

What are the inside dimensions of the lidded cooking area? The model we saw (405BZ, not 415BZ) had a sloping lid (sloping down front to back) and we are concerned our turkey will not fit without touching the lid near the back.
