"Very happy with my grill. Directions were great and marking the screws and other hardware was first rate. The only improvement I would make is attaching the handles to the doors. Somewhat tricky. Overall a great grill at a great price."

"I converted the grill to natural gas. It's a little extra effort but seems to work fine. Not sure about the instruction to adjust the burners by turning the screw 90° in the knob area. It didn't budge, so I'm guessing that is something that had been revised? If not, I'd like to know how to adjust it. Thank you. KP"

Eliminating the unpredictability of propane tanks, and the inevitable mid‑cook emergency runs to the store, was a major priority. After comparing several well‑known brands, I chose the Monument 41847 NG with the conversion kit, and the value‑to‑performance ratio has genuinely exceeded my expectations. Despite never having grilled on natural gas before, the 41847 NG impressed me immediately. The burner system delivers rapid heat‑up times, and the thermal consistency across the cooking surface is outstanding — a testament to Monument’s engineering. The ClearView window is more than a convenience feature; it’s a smart, functional design choice that allows real‑time monitoring without sacrificing heat retention. The solid stainless‑steel construction gives the grill a robust, premium feel, and the machining and fit‑and‑finish are excellent. I’m confident this unit will serve me well for many years of heavy grilling. One important clarification for buyers: the model's name can be misleading. The grill does not automatically come ready for both propane and natural gas. You must ensure the conversion kit is included, or you will need to purchase it separately. I learned this the hard way after initially buying the grill from another retailer, assuming dual‑fuel capability was standard. Returning it was no small feat, the grill ships in two large, heavy boxes, and you’ll need a vehicle with substantial cargo space. Even a single box will not fit in the trunk of a compact car. Overall, Monument has delivered a natural‑gas grill that combines thoughtful engineering, strong build quality, and excellent real‑world performance. I’m impressed and I look forward to many seasons of grilling ahead."
