Installing Your Monument Gas Grill

Setting up a new gas grill? It's an exciting journey, but there are essential steps to follow to ensure safety and optimal performance.

Here's a comprehensive guide to get you started:

1. Read the Manual Thoroughly

The first step is to familiarize yourself with the product manual. It contains specific operation methods, safety precautions, and maintenance guidelines. By reading it carefully, you'll understand the various functional buttons of the gas grills, the adjustment methods, and the applicable gas types. This knowledge is crucial for both safety and effective use.

2. Inspect the Gas Grills

Before installation, check the gas grill's appearance for any damage caused during transportation, such as scratches, dents, or deformations. Ensure all components are firmly installed, especially the firebox, knob, and gas pipe connections. If you notice any issues, contact our customer service at customerservice@monumentgrills.com or fill in the warranty form. Our support team will respond within 24 hours.

3. Proper Installation

Follow the instructions or installation videos to install your gas grill correctly. Make sure to place it on a smooth and dry surface to avoid shaking or tilting during use. After installation, check the gas pipe connection for tightness and leaks by applying soapy water to the connection. If bubbles appear, there's a leak, and the gas pipe needs to be reconnected or replaced.

4. Conduct an Ignition Test

Before igniting, ensure the gas valve is closed. Adjust the knob to the ignition position and gently press and rotate it to observe whether it can ignite successfully. If ignition fails, wait a while before trying again. Once ignited, check the flame's color and shape. A normal flame should be blue, steady, and even. If the flame appears yellow, red, or unstable, it may indicate insufficient gas combustion or a problem with the gas furnace that needs adjustment or repair.

5. Safety Precautions During Use

While using the gas grill, maintain safety by monitoring the flame to prevent food overflow from dousing the flame and causing gas leakage. If the flame extinguishes accidentally, close the gas valve immediately, ventilate the area, and re-ignite the gas once it dissipates. Avoid placing flammable items like paper, cloth, or alcohol near the gas grill to prevent fire hazards.

6. Post-Use Maintenance

After use, close the gas valve and knob. Allow the gas grill to cool before cleaning and maintenance. Wipe the surface with a damp cloth to remove oil and dust. Use a soft brush to clean the firebox and flame tamer, avoiding hard objects that could scratch the surface. Regularly check the performance and safety of the gas grill and address any issues promptly.
