Christmas French Toast Sticks


French Toast Ingredients

  • ½ Loaf of Italian Bread
  • 4 Eggs
  • ½ Cup of Milk

Icing Drizzle Ingredients

  • ½ Cup of Powdered Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Melted Butter
  • 1 Tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 1 Tbsp Milk
  • Red Food Dye
  • Green Food Dye

Preparation

  1. Remove one of the grill grates and insert the Cast Iron Cooking Plate.
  2. Preheat Monument Grills 35633 to 400° F.
  3. Prepare the icing drizzle, by mixing the powdered sugar, melted butter, maple syrup, and milk in a small bowl. 
  4. Divide the icing in half and add red food dye to one bowl, and green food dye to the other. Set aside.
  5. Slice the bread into 1-inch thick slices and then into 1-inch wide sticks.
  6. Mix the eggs and milk together in a rectangular container.
  7. Dredge each of the breadsticks into the egg mixture and place directly on the Cast Iron Cooking Plate.
  8. Grill for 1-2 minutes on each side until browned.
  9. Drizzle the red and green icing on top of the French toast sticks.
