Loaded Italian Sausage Skewers
Check out our new favorite way to cook Italian Sausages. Stacked up, skewered, and piled high with loads of toppings.
Ready in 30 minutes Serves 2 people
Ingredients:
- 1 Package of Italian Sausage Links
- 1 Bell Pepper
- ½ of an Onion
- 6 Slices of Provolone Cheese
- 1 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 Cup Marinara Sauce
- Italian Seasoning to Taste
Preparation:
1. Preheat your Monument 24367 gas grill to 400° F.
2. Line up the sausages on a cutting board and insert 4 skewers through all of the sausages.
3. Slice the bell pepper and onion into thin slices.
4. Place the skewered sausage directly on the grill grates and cook for 7 minutes.
5. Meanwhile, start up the side burner and use a skillet to saute the sliced peppers and onions until softened and slightly charred.
6. Once the sausage has a little bit of char on one side, flip the skewered sausage over.
7. Top the sausages with sliced provolone cheese, peppers and onions, shredded mozzarella, Italian seasoning, and a drizzle of marinara sauce.
8. Cook for an additional 10 min until the cheese is well melted.
9. Slice between each of the skewers, creating 4 individual sausage skewers.
10. Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
